| General Overview | Sam is a man of few words, preferring actions over words. From a childhood starting with loss, he is very protective of his men. Willing to do what he asks of his men himself, his philosophy of command is led by example. Age hasn’t slowed him down, still maintaining a rigorous regimen of exercise, physical training and marksmanship. He is not quick to anger, though will do what must be done when the job calls for it. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Sam is a veteran of the Great Galactic War, having seen the entirety of the 27 year conflict and coming out the otherside. Brutal years of fighting have built the Cathar into the man he is today. He is capable of breaking down doors single handed without aid. Marksmanship in the Expert Rating Class. However those same years of combat has left him bitter, jaded and with a deep hatred for Imperial, Sith or any sympathizers. He has seen much loss, both personally with many friends dying in the war and though worlds razed and destroyed in the conflict itself. 13 years of relative peace has left the Veteran longing for the days of fighting the SIth once more. |

| Personal History | Born somewhere in the galaxy in 3697 BBY but ended up on Dantooine as an orphaned child, he was taken in by the Kyle family and named Sam after their son who passed the previous winter. It was a modest childhood that followed the young cathar, working every season on the harvest and plowing. Uneventful for the most part until the summer of his 16th year when the Great War broke out amongst the galaxy. The Sith returned to the known galaxy, cutting a swath across the Outer Rim. Dantooine burned once again under the guns of the Imperial Navy, his parents parishing under the jackboot of the Imperial occupation. Suffering from the loss of the only parents he knew and left with nothing but his rage to focus on, he enlisted in the Republic Army. Attending Basic Training on Anaxes early in the war, he chose the path of an enlisted man to ensure he was sent to the front as quickly as possible. His training instructors noted an aptitude for small team tactics, leadership and devotion to the cause. The war raged for decades, brutal fighting on world after world, system after system. Against all odds, Sam made it through it all until that terrible day, when the Sith launched the Sacking of Coruscant. His unit was deployed to reinforce the defenders. Brutal fighting through the city spires dragged on for days until the Jedi temple fell, the Empire surrounded the senate and hope seemed to have been snuffed out, a ceasefire was called. The War ended, neither side had truly won. Sam emerged from it with scars, both physical and emotional. After the war, he spent almost 3 years on various peacekeeping missions, until he was selected for Officer candidate school where he spent the next year as an officer cadet graduating with honors. He is currently a Lieutenant serving with the Outer Rim Garrison, and at the behest of Colonel Malcolm, has been sent to Hoth to reinforce the Outpost there, against pirates and the Imperials. |
